The ability to customize teacher and student cursors as needed to provide support for students visually tracking text. Larger and longer would be helpful--like a wand, light saber, or hand with a finger options--especially for touch screens.

If I track under the text with my finger pretending to be the student, the cursor actually appears a line or two under where my finger is actually tracking, making it difficult to know exactly where I am in the passage.

I'd like to be able to have a student pull the wand/light saber/hand with a finger/etc. along so I can see it pointing at the text they are reading, real time, as they read. I'd like to be able to have the students watch me do the same.

The disappearing pen doesn't work well because the visual doesn't appear to other participants until it's released by the person drawing.

It would also be helpful for students using touch screen devices to have an option to go into a cursor mode that wouldn't move objects--only show the teacher where their finger is as they track text across a screen (although this could alternatively be accomplished by locking the object, that sometimes results in a blue selection box appearing beneath the finger).
