[classroom] Camera - vertical/horizontal placement

I would find it helpful to be able to align the cameras vertically or horizontally. The camera obstructs the activity pages, so having the ability to move them or they have their own dedicated space independent of the activity page, would be great!

I actually love that I can move my students around…it’s the reason I picked koala over others

Make the side panel draggable so that teacher can make it as big as they want"

I actually appreciate the option of expanding the size of the camera displays especially when my student's and I dictate sounds to each other or view each other's work on the document camera.
Please keep this as optional!

Yes, yes! :) I now agree that it would be less trouble to have them in a fixed location. I liked the flexibility of them being mobile at first BUT it is, indeed, just one more thing I have to click on to move from time to time in class.
I know a lot of teachers are used to having the camera views to the side and therefore, normally a little larger. This uses up a lot of space in the classroom. My suggestion would be something more like Classin, at the top to use less space. I love that you can enlarge when needed but love the extra space gained by having the standard video size at the top smaller.

Angie Dutton: I think this depends on your computer screen and slide dimensions perhaps - for me, I'd rather have the videos to the side. Perhaps just a choice of optioks (again, like ClassIn) - videos at the top, videos at the side, or videos floating so you can position them wherever you want over your slides (ideally with student and teacher videos being separated and such that if I position a student on one part of the slides then that is reflected on their end too).

Just going to chip in to support this idea too! It's quite frustrating having the videos floating around covering things when I'm trying to focus on the screen.
Also, being able to move the videos around is only really useful if (a) I can position my and the students' videos separately - e.g. over the faces of different characters on the screen, to indicate who is playing which character in a dialogue; and (b) it also updates on the student's end. At the moment, I'm not really finding any benefits of being able to move the videos around, except that I can drag them basically totally off screen to get them out of the way (but then I can't see my student...).
Having a dedicated space to the side or above the main whiteboard/ browser specifically only for the videos (and therefore not covering content) would therefore be really helpful.

Agree with Amy. I would like to have the option to not have my camera fixed in a template space. I know it's what many tutors from ClassIn or Zoom is used to, but I'd like to keep my classroom fun and light, and not feel like everything is locked into places.

Sarah Cummings: In Classin, the camera can be fixed in a template OR moved around. Both are options in the Classin platform.
